Trinity Health MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a clinic setting and enhance the patient visit experience. You will prepare rooms, take vitals, perform EKGs, draw blood, immunize, and handle point-of-care tests as well as administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited MA program with externship/internship; EMT or Paramedic training also acceptable.
• Preferred certifications in MA (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC).

Responsabilités

• Room set up and patient preparation.
• Taking vitals (manual and electronic).
• Perform EKG.
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing).
• Pharmacology and administrative duties.
• May assist with in-office procedures/treatments.

What you will do

• Room set up and patient preparation

• May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments

What you will need

• Education- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.

Credentials/Licensure (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
• American Medical Technologists (RMA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
• National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
• National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
• American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)

• Related Experience- Minimum: In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills. Preferred: New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
