Job summary

The Lovelace Health System, Inc. is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team in Albuquerque, NM.

The MA will perform clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care, working as part of a care team led by physicians or advanced practice providers. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic EMR and Microsoft Office skills, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and perform administrative and delegated clinical tasks in a clinic-based environment.
• Support care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
