Qualifications

Status: Full time

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

We are seeking a MA or LPN Clinic Float to join our Greater Milwaukee Area neurology locations. Homebase will be St. Luke's with expectations to float to Sinai, Franklin, Oak Creek, New Berlin, West Allis, Cudahy, Greenfield, and St. Francis. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30/8am to 4/4:30pm, with 8-hour shifts only. No weekends or holidays. Float Pool Differential is $2.00 for MA or $3.00 for LPN. Sign-on bonus available for qualified external candidates.

Compensation ranges from $21.45 to $32.20 for an MA and $23.65 to $35.50 for an LPN, based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.

Major Responsibilities
  • Prepare and room patients for exams, obtain vital signs, and document health information.
  • Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist physicians/APCs with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, etc.
  • Administer routine medications under physician orders or protocols.
  • Coordinate tests, referrals, and follow-up care, communicating effectively with team and patients.
  • Perform clinical support tasks as appropriate to the specialty and competencies.
  • Provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.
Licensure or Certifications

LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse license and BLS certification within 45 days.

MA: BLS certification within 45 days.

Degrees

GED or HS Equivalency Diploma; LPN: completed accredited Practical Nursing program; MA: completed approved Medical Assistant program or 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience Required

No prior experience necessary.

  • Technical skills within scope of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer use and electronic medical records.
  • Customer service skills to enhance patient experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Exposure to hazards and need for protective equipment.
