The Care Team Specialist (CTS) participates as a member of a care team and supports high-quality patient care, including engaging patients in maintaining their physical and mental well-being. Responsibilities include pre-visit preparation, monitoring patient flow, rooming patients, obtaining patient histories and vital signs, managing test results per protocols, supporting Epic in-basket workflow, returning phone calls, and assisting with medical examinations and procedures. The CTS collaborates with Registered Nurses and Medical Providers in patient care management. They review team/provider in-baskets and My Chart messages for their care team. Practitioners and RNs may delegate tasks. Candidates must have completed medical assistant training, LPN training, Paramedic, or EMT training from an accredited program.
