Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine in Deerfield, IL. The role is full-time with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm and rotating weekends.

Occasional travel to other locations is required, and flexibility in hours is expected to meet operational needs. The MA will greet patients, document vital signs and medical history, provide front desk support, and perform basic vitals with possible phlebotomy and injections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• One year of work experience is required; previous experience in a medical office is preferred; on-the-job training is provided for those without prior medical assistant training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals such as BP, height and weight; phlebotomy and injections may be required.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
