Responsibilities
  • The Medical Assistant performs selected nursing and clerical duties to assist in patient care management.
  • Responsible for maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting physicians during exams, and performing follow-up in a timely and accurate manner while providing quality care.
  • Administers medications and knows the five rights of medication administration.
  • Screens phone calls from patients for the provider.
Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting program, with RMA, CMA, or ABR credentials, or demonstrated Medical Assistant experience of more than 3 years.
  • For OHI clinics, EMT/Paramedics meet the qualifications for hire.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, routine office procedures, and medical instruments.
  • Skilled in taking vital signs.
