Job summary

Premise Health in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for its Health Center. In this dual-role position, you will provide care to client employees and support front-desk operations. You will be responsible for interviewing patients, maintaining health records, and administering medications.

The ideal candidate will possess national Medical Assisting certification, Basic Life Support certification, and preferably previous experience. Premise offers a range of benefits, including health insurance and a company-sponsored wellness program.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

Full Time Medical Assistant

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Mooresville, NC. This is a dual‑role position supporting both clinical Medical Assistant responsibilities and front‑desk operations in an outpatient setting. The role works closely with providers to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent patient care.

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments
• Administer medication including injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow‑up calls, and order medical supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands‑on externship completed and passed – total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
