Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support client employees and dependents at our Health Center in Notre Dame, IN. You will collaborate with one Provider to care for patients of all ages in a modern clinic setting.

The role requires patient interviews, vital signs, charting, and administrative duties, with a schedule of four work days per week (Mon–Fri) and 40 hours. A strong clinical foundation plus BLS certification is essential.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or Diploma with externship completed.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records with up-to-date information.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections, perform labs, operate EKGs as allowed by state regulations.
• Perform front-desk tasks: schedule appointments, place follow‑ups, order supplies.

As aFull-Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Notre Dame, IN.

Schedule & Hours

• 4-day work week: Monday–Friday, with Tuesdays off
• 40 hours per week
• Health Center hours: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow‑up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
