Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a physician’s office operations in Tennessee. You will help with patient care, triage, vitals, EKG, phlebotomy and accurate documentation under physician supervision.

Required: HS diploma or GED and CMA certification plus BLS; completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years’ related experience. Sign-on bonus of $1000 is offered to new hires.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician’s office.

Job Summary

$1000 Sign on Bonus

Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

• Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patient
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable

• Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
