Job summary

MedlinkHealth Anesthesia in Michigan seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support physicians and provide patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The MA assists with patient preparation, procedures, administrative tasks, and daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming, professional environment. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Comfortable handling phone calls, patient greetings, administrative processing, mailing, and cleaning duties.
• Must understand and be comfortable with the temporary/contract nature of the position.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients and families with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
• Bring patients into exam rooms and obtain a brief history of their complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Assist physicians with examinations and clinical procedures as needed.
• Administer injections as directed.
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and instruction.
• Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, coordinating with other physicians and facilities, completing forms, answering calls, processing and mailing correspondence.
• Maintain clean and properly stocked exam rooms.
• Maintain and care for medical instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilization/autoclave equipment as required.
• Assist with orientation of new personnel, particularly clinical and nursing-related procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and training/in-service programs.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed in the absence of supervisory personnel.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
