Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to care for client employees and dependents at our Colorado Springs Health Center. Hours are 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will perform vital signs, record-keeping, labs, injections, EKGs, and front-desk support.

The role requires CMA certification or equivalent, and BLS/CPR; state lab certs may apply in NV. Competitive benefits are included for full-time staff and their dependents.

Qualifications

• Certification and hands-on training in Medical Assisting are required.
• Current basic life support certification is required.
• State-specific lab certification may apply in NV.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant (MA), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Colorado Springs, CO. The scheduled hours are Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $20.80 - $26.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.

For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0692 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year.
