Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant in our Denver, CO Health Center. The role involves interviewing patients, taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. The schedule runs Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

The ideal candidate holds nationally recognized MA certification with hands-on externship, current BLS/CPR, and CMA certification from approved bodies. Prior MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant with hands-on externship required
• BLS/CPR certification required for health care providers
• CMA certification from recognized bodies or equivalent allowed by state boards

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and take vital signs
• Maintain and update patient health records
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Administer medications and perform basic lab tests
• Operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as allowed
• Assist at front desk and coordinate appointments

As a Full Time Medical Assistant,you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Denver, CO.
The schedule is Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends, from 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $19.20 - $24.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.

For individuals living in Washington or Colorado:Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0692 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
