Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team in Findlay, OH. Under supervision of the Physician, you will assist in office and lab procedures, perform point of care testing, injections, phlebotomy, sterilization of instruments, and handle clerical duties to provide patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• May need to work at another BVMP Practice as assigned.
• Ability to cross-train to other positions within the practice.
• Adherence to BVHS privacy policies and standards of behavior.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care as required.
• Ensure exam rooms are prepared for each visit and set up clinical areas.
• Follow directions from provider and leadership.
• Conduct phlebotomy and point of care testing as needed.
• Complete registration accurately.
• Document chart entries accurately.
• Utilize clinical and clerical skills effectively.
• Enhance patient experience and uphold organizational values.
• Participate in process improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
