Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab settings in Findlay, OH. Duties include patient flow management, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, injections, and clinical/clerical tasks.

You will ensure exam rooms are ready, document visits, and help improve patient experience while upholding BVHS values. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus preferred MA certification or diploma and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• May work at another BVMP Practice as needed; cross-train to other positions within the practice.
• Comply with BVHS privacy policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span and provide age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care as required.
• Ensure that exam rooms are prepared for each visit and set up clinical areas.
• Conducts phlebotomy and point of care testing, based on practice needs.
• Accurately complete the registration process.
• Chart documentation.
• Responsible for using your clinical and clerical skills.
• Responsible for enhancing our patients experience and upholding the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Willingness to participate in process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
