Clinical Associates seeks a nationally certified Medical Assistant for our After-Hours Care Center in Pikesville, MD. This part-time position covers Friday evenings and Saturday morning, performing front desk duties and assisting with clinical exams.

Responsibilities include registering patients, triage, injections, EKGs, and basic lab tests, with NextGen EMR experience a plus. Requires prior Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience and strong patient service skills.

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited program required.
• Experience in Internal Medicine or Primary Care; front desk experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Front desk registration and check-in/out via Phreesia.
• Assisting with pre-op exams and episodic/acute care visits.
• Interviewing patients, logging vitals, providing directions.
• Administering injections/immunizations.
• Performing EKGs, urine dipstick, finger sticks, and basic tests.
• Closing shift tasks including phone system handover.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT - Part Time / Friday Evenings and Saturday Morning

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. Each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site. We have been serving the northern Baltimore County suburban region for more than 50 years.

We are seeking a nationally Certified Medical Assistant to join our After-Hours Care Center team in Pikesville! Our ideal candidate must be proficient with both front desk operations and have experience in Internal Medicine / Primary or Urgent Care.

The After-Hours Care Center is located at our Woodholme / Pikesville facility and is for established (adult) patients of Clinical Associates. Appointments are required as this is not considered a walk-in clinic.

Location: 1838 Greene Tree Road (Woodholme Medical Building)

Shift Hours: Fridays 4:30pm - 9:00pm and Saturdays 8:30am - 1:00pm

Duties

Under the supervision of the health care provider you will perform front desk check-in and registration duties, triage calls, and assist with medical exams and procedures. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performing front desk registration, check in and check out duties via use of Phreesia.
• Assisting with pre -op exams and office visits related to episodic and acute care.
• Interviewing patients, log vitals and provide information and/or directions to patients.
• Administering injections/immunizations.
• Performing EKGs, urine dipstick, finger sticks, diagnostic and screening tests.
• Assisting with end of shift closing operations including turning phone system over to the on-call providers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Experience in Internal Medicine or Primary Care. (REQUIRED)
• Front desk experience / Patient Service Representative Duties (REQUIRED)
• Ability to start your shift at 4:30pm on Fridays
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
• EMR Skills (Nextgen experience is a plus)
