Medical Assistant – Infusion Center – Center for Community Health – Part Time - Days

Make a lasting first impression at the Center for Community Health, meeting and greeting patients and family members in need of a compassionate ear and calm direction. Support the promise of Putting Patients First in the Cancer Center Practice through compassionate patient focus and superior customer service, ensuring the fast-paced environment runs smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist Practitioners and Management by performing blood draws and taking vital signs of patients in clinic. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.

This is a part-time day shift position working 3 days a week including Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This position is located at the Center for Community Health at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Qualifications

• Preferred Criteria: Medical Assistant Certification
• Required Criteria: High School Diploma or GED; Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
