Medical Assistant - Pediatrics - Full Time - Days

As a Medical Assistant in Pediatrics, you will provide compassionate, patient focus and superior customer service - keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist Practitioners and Management by taking vital signs and accurate histories of patients in the practice. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.

This is a full time position (schedule: Monday off, Tuesday to Thursday 11:30a-8p, Friday 8:30a-5:00, sat 9-2:30p) located at NYP/BMH Pediatric clinics (263 7th Ave and DeGraw location).

Preferred Criteria

Knowledge of EMR systems
Experience working in Pediatrics

Required Criteria

High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program
Candidate must possess excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to Put Patients First
Basic computer skills required
