Qualifications

• Minimum of six months' experience in Urgent Care/Primary Care or direct patient care.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program.
• Fluency in English.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia training within 90 days if required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care, clerical tasks, insurance verification and prior authorizations; handle environmental and organization tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services fully.
• Project a positive image of the organization.
• All clinical tasks performed by MA II under direct supervision of a licensed clinician present in the facility.
