Job summary

Millennium-Physician-Group is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care and clinic operations. You will room patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help ensure accurate documentation in the EHR across the care team.

The role emphasizes independent routine tasks, attention to safety, and collaboration with physicians and staff under supervision. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; 1–3 years of ambulatory clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years medical assisting or ambulatory care.
• Knowledge of ambulatory care workflows, patient rooming, and documentation.
• Experience with EHR systems and office technology.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Strong patient service, prioritization, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, document vital signs, review medication/history, and prep for exams.
• Assist physicians with exams, procedures, treatments, specimen collection, POC testing, and other clinical activities.
• Complete follow-up tasks, including patient communication, documentation updates, order prep, and care team coordination.
• Support medication, vaccine, and supply workflows by preparing materials, checking inventory, documenting use, and escalating issues.
• Identify gaps in documentation, visit prep, or patient information and resolve routine issues to support timely care delivery.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a safe, clean, ready condition.
• Assist onboarding or daily guidance for less experienced medical assistants by answering routine workflow questions.
