Job summary

Community Health Center of Franklin County Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant II (or I depending on experience) to join the primary care team in Turners Falls, MA. The role supports providers, nurses, and staff, assists with patient care, phlebotomy, basic lab tests, and pre-visit planning in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Medical Assisting or equivalent
• CMA/CCMA certification, or RMA license, or EMT-B required
• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Experience with basic office equipment and MS Office applications
• Experience in a primary care or outpatient setting preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing care for a defined patient panel within the primary care team
• Pre-visit planning and huddle with providers
• Prepare exam rooms and restock supplies
• Obtain vital signs, patient history, and medication reconciliation
• Perform phlebotomy and basic CLIA-waived tests
• Administer vaccines and support in-office procedures
• Coordinate in-clinic services to maintain patient flow
• Document interactions accurately in the EHR (Intergy)
• Call patients and communicate clearly with diverse populations
• Attend team meetings and participate in quality improvement activities
