Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to be the first contact for patient care and handle administrative tasks onsite. You will perform clinical responsibilities such as taking vitals, administering vaccines, phlebotomy, and assisting providers within certification limits.

Requirements include MA school or CMA/MA certification, CPR, and a high school diploma. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus and may be tested.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or CMA/Registered Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms with patients, obtain vital signs, and administer medications and vaccines.
• Phlebotomy, specimen collection and diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information in EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within active certification.
• Interpret area/department policy and prioritize assignments within defined parameters.
