Job summary

Humana's CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Covington, LA, is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for an onsite outpatient clinic. You will perform clinical duties, assist with vaccines, phlebotomy, and document accurately in the EMR while supporting a TB screening program.

The role requires MA training, a valid CMA/RMA, CPR certification and a high school diploma. Strong patient communication and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus and may be tested.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified.
• This role is patient facing and includes TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms and obtain vital signs.
• Medication/vaccine administration.
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Sterilize/clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
• Document information into the EMR system.
