Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, performing screenings, and assisting with procedures under clinician supervision.

You will perform venipuncture and POCT, process lab orders, and administer vaccines in adherence to safety protocols. Opportunities exist for training, continuing education, and growth within the department.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military clinical training.

Aufgaben

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies during patient care.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, health maintenance, allergy review and screenings.
• Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, lab orders, POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles duties such as refills, authorizations, registrations, messaging, scheduling, and referrals.
• Maintains clean environment and stocked supplies; ensures equipment functioning.
• May train/onboard teammates and participate in committees.
