Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training per DD214 in lieu of a formal program.
• BLS certification within 45 days where required, per department policy.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and maintains competency.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties incl. venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Maintains clean work environment and ensures equipment and supplies are stocked.
• Supports training/onboarding of teammates and committee participation.
