Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required or equivalent military clinical training per DD214.
• Certification requirements vary by division and may include CMA/RMA or BLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and patient history.
• Assists providers with procedures and labs, including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following safety practices.
• Maintains a clean, stocked work environment and supports substitutions as needed.
• Communicates effectively with team and escalates when appropriate.
