Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services under physician direction. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of direct medical assistant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in medical assisting preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical and non-clinical patient services under supervision.
• Take vital signs, interview patients, document in the medical record.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Explain treatments and physician instructions; prepare education materials.
• Collect samples, perform phlebotomy if competent, and maintain specimen integrity.
• Maintain immunization inventory and assist with vaccine administration as needed.
• Support onboarding and training for junior Medical Assistants.
