Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams with both clinical and non-clinical patient services. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow under supervision of healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, preparing equipment, recording medical histories, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth care delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assisting degree preferred.
• 1–2 years direct MA or medical field experience required.
• BLS Certification and CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties; act as liaison with other departments and advocate for patients with positive customer service.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, keep rooms clean, and stock supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
