Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow and clinical operations at our health system. You will prepare patients for exams, collect vitals, and assist clinicians, while managing paperwork and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities include basic clerical duties, appointment scheduling, and executing point-of-care tests under LIP supervision. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification or willing to obtain before end of orientation
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with 330 clock hours
• Current certification from a recognized medical assistant body or registration

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs
• Assist physicians and staff; collect specimens and prepare rooms
• Handle front desk duties, scheduling, and patient records
• Perform electrocardiograms and point-of-care tests per policy
• Document in EMR and communicate with patients and staff
