Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in medical assisting is preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Proficiency with EHR and medical office software; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and onboarding training.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment.
• Interview patients, record vital signs, weight, height, and medical information.
• Explain treatments, medications, and instructions to patients; provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments to advocate for patients.
• Collect blood or other specimens and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
