Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a patient services assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient care. You will take vital signs, record medical information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow in a busy onsite setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to ensure smooth operations, accurate documentation, and a positive patient experience. Prior MA or clinical exposure is preferred and onsite training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS and CMA certifications preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean and supplies stocked.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
