Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join our team in Maryland. You will room patients, obtain vitals, document in EMR, and assist with procedures in a supportive hospital environment anchored in Mercy values.

We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus for select positions and a comprehensive benefits package. Minimum 3–5 years MA experience and a high school diploma or GED are required. Position is based at our Overlea campus.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:

• Room patients and obtaining vitals
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patients
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned
