Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA, AAH, AAMP, or NPS).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting medical histories, chief complaints, medications, allergies, and other relevant health information in EPIC.
• Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, manual blood pressure, height, weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Room patients and assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and treatments.
• Assist with chronic disease management workflows, quality improvement initiatives, and population health activities.
• Prepare examination rooms, stock supplies, and maintain clinical equipment to ensure readiness.
• Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens within scope of practice.
• Deliver patient-centered service with professionalism and compassion.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support department and operations.
