Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine patient care such as rooming and vital signs.
• Notes the primary complaint/reason for visit.
• Collects patient histories and enters medications into medical records.
• Maintains patient and service rooms in a neat and orderly condition.
• Schedules and prepares colonoscopy/EGD for clinic visits.
• Reviews patients’ medications and notes any changes required before procedures.
• Contacts patients via MyChart and/or telephone.
• Communicates with physicians and staff using Outlook and Teams.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
