Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow in a busy setting at 102 Endicott Street.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, 1–2 years of MA experience, BLS preferred, and proficiency with EHR and medical office software.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support preferred; National Certification preferred.
• Experience: Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems and medical office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and support for junior Medical Assistants.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment.
• Interview patients, obtain medical information, measure vital signs, and record data.
• Explain procedures and instructions to patients; organize educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with departments to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Collect blood or specimens and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and manage vaccine expiration dates.
