Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II for our Northborough site. You will perform clinical tasks like taking vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections, while supporting clerical duties in a busy ambulatory setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma, MA credential, and BLS/HS certification with a 3-month window after hire. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/HS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• MA credential approved by MA DOH within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and Point of Care tests per standards.
• Prepare and administer injections within scope of practice.
• Assist with routine physical exams and monitor labs.
• Maintain inventory and clean/sterilize equipment.
