Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support clinical teams in a busy primary care setting. You will greet patients, collect information, obtain vitals, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, and assist providers with exams and procedures.

This role includes training other medical assistants, supporting EMR documentation, QA standards, and coordinating records. You will contribute to practice improvement initiatives and ensure accurate, timely communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CMA certificate preferred.
• 1–3 years related work experience; familiarity with MS Office and web-based apps.
• Experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; respond to requests promptly.
• Take complete patient information and communicate to providers.
• Obtain vitals, weight, BP, pulse and temperature; perform EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Assist providers and participate in departmental screening and lab tests.
• Maintain quality control standards and accurate records.
• Assist with procuring medical records and EMR documentation updates.
