Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston welcomes a Per Diem Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative patient services under physician and nurse guidance. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow to ensure smooth, compassionate care.

You will show patients to exam rooms, interview for medical history, assist with phlebotomy if qualified, and collaborate with providers and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Medical Assisting degree preferred.
• BLS certification preferred; CMA certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of direct MA experience required.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior MAs and onboarding activities.
• Take vital signs, measure height/weight, and record data.
• Interview patients for medical history and visit purpose.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education materials.
• Perform basic office duties and coordinate with departments.
