Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS/Heart Saver certification must be obtained within 3 months if not available at hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health; relevant experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May prepare and administer non-intravenous injections within scope of practice.
• Assist in routine physical exams or clinical procedures.
• Review lab results and flag abnormalities to clinicians.
• Maintain patient care areas and equipment per protocol.
