Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care, part of Humana, is hiring a Medical Assistant 2 in Corpus Christi, TX. You will be the first point of contact for patient care, handling administrative duties and basic clinical tasks in a patient-facing role.

The position requires completing an MA program or CMA/Registered MA, or 5+ years of experience with provider approval, CPR certification, and bilingual English/Spanish. TB screening is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of MA program or CMA/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years experience approved by Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification required
• This role is part of the TB screening program and requires TB screening if selected

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs
• Perform clinical duties including vaccine administration and phlebotomy
• Collect specimens and perform diagnostic screening tests
• Sterilize/clean equipment and maintain examination rooms
• Document information in the electronic medical records system
