Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patients and providers in a fast-paced outpatient neuroscience setting. You will obtain vitals, perform medication reconciliation, manage prior authorizations, and assist with point-of-care testing and injections.
Under supervision, you will maintain EMR records, coordinate with the care team, and help ensure smooth clinic operations.

Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: No weekends and no major holidays

As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting patients and providers throughout their care journey. Responsibilities include:
Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care given in accordance with the organization standards. Assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, assures smooth patient flow, performs general lab work, instructs patients concerning procedures, treatments and needs, and ensures medical orders and referrals are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. Performs registration and scheduling activities per organizational and departmental procedures. Maintains EMR files and performs general front office functions as needed. May perform computerized physician order entry, only if directed by assigned physician. Expected to precept current MA team members or MA Externs as requested by leadership.
