Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Milford OBGYN is hiring a Medical Assistant II to support clinical and clerical functions under licensed supervision. This role is full-time, day shift, 40 hours per week, with a $17.43–$32.94 hourly range and potential signing bonus.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, performing EKGs and phlebotomy, handling injections, assisting exams, and documenting patient status. Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS, and MA credential; lifting up to 50 pounds;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination rooms and records vital signs.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assists in routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
• Reviews laboratory results and communicates abnormal results to physicians.
