Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services onsite.

You will take vital signs, record information, schedule tasks, and manage patient flow in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient care. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with electronic health records, with 0–1 year of MA or related experience preferred and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• No substitution of experience for degree accepted
• 0–1 year direct MA experience or medical field work preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms neat, stocked, and clean.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
