The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Patient Services Assistant to support healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers.

You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and interact directly with patients to ensure comfort while collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate preferred; MA certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties, answer telephones, take dictation, or complete insurance forms; liaise with other departments and advocate for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keep rooms neat, stocked with supplies, and sterile instruments.
• Adhere to all policies and standards; perform other duties as assigned.
