University of Nevada, Las Vegas is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant I to join the Student Health Center and FAST Center teams on campus. The role involves patient intakes, vital signs, immunizations, and support for clinics and procedures.

Responsibilities include emergency response, lab requisitions, infection control, and maintaining accurate health records. Ideal candidates have a MA program credential, CPR certification, and a commitment to UNLV values.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant program required or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Must have CPR certification.
• Compliance with UNLV policies on immunizations and exposure to communicable diseases.

Responsabilidades

• Perform in-person and telehealth patient intakes, record vital signs and patient history.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies with the healthcare team.
• Process laboratory requisitions with appropriate documentation.
• Prepare patients and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Administer immunizations per SHC/FAST Center policy.
• Maintain accurate, legible clinical records and follow HIPAA privacy rules.
• Schedule and manage appointments and handle patient check-in/out.
