Job summary

Qualified candidates typically hold a Medical Assistant credential, have CPR certification, and basic computer skills. Experience with EPIC EHR is preferred; responsibilities include assisting with patient management and safeguarding patient information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program required.
• One year medical assisting experience in ambulatory/clinical setting preferred.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• HIPAA confidentiality policies and patient privacy are essential.
• Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelines.
• Knowledge of sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Knowledge of current medical assistant best practices including EKG and basic drugs.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
