Job summary

Mass General Brigham's The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a patient services assistant to support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical tasks.

You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments and help manage patient flow onsite at 20 Patriot Place. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, maintain accurate records in the EHR, and comply with privacy rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BLS preferred.
• Experience with taking vital signs and basic patient assessment is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures expected.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment.
• Record medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Answer phones, take dictation, and assist with insurance forms.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies; uphold cleanliness.
• Comply with all policies and standards and assist as needed.
