140 Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc. Cedartown Immediate Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time role. The position offers 24 hours per week with benefits eligibility.

Pay range is $21.85 to $32.80 per hour. The candidate will perform rooming, vital signs, medical history reviews, and assist providers with procedures, while also handling lab duties, POCT, and medication administration. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or equivalent military training.
• AHA BLS certification or ability to obtain within specified time frames as required by department policies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and department policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vital signs, medical history, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
• Assist provider with procedures and perform lab duties, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administer medications and vaccines following rights of medication administration.
• Handle insurance authorizations, referrals, scheduling, and patient communications.
