Job Overview

This role involves assisting providers with patient care, maintaining clinic flow, and performing clinical tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The position requires bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, gather pre-visit information, and document in EMR.
• Measure and record vital signs and patient information accurately.
• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Prepare examination rooms and restock supplies.
• Assist with physical exams and procedures.
• Participate in training and adhere to safety and privacy regulations.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with community resources.
• Support emergency procedures and patient education.
• Travel to other clinics as needed and support accreditation efforts.

Essential Functions

• Lift at least 25 pounds.
• Assist patients onto and off exam tables.

Qualifications

For Medical Assistant I:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Proficiency in core competencies within 90 days.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR software.

For Medical Assistant II:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Certification or two+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in core competencies and ability to train others.

Preferred Skills

• Previous medical assistant or clinic experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification or LPN license.
