Job Overview

This role involves assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring efficient patient flow within the clinic. The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and involves various responsibilities related to patient care and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients, gather pre-visit information, and document in EMR.
  • Measure and record vital signs and patient information accurately.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under provider supervision.
  • Prepare examination rooms and restock supplies.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures.
  • Follow safety and confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  • Coordinate referrals and communicate with community resources.
  • Support emergency response and patient education efforts.
Qualifications
For MA I:
  • High School Diploma or GED, bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Proficiency in core competencies within 90 days, CPR certification within 90 days.
  • Ability to use EMR software, good communication skills, and confidentiality adherence.
For MA II:
  • High School Diploma or GED, bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Certification or two+ years of experience, proficiency in core competencies, CPR certification.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to train or precept others.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Lift at least 25 pounds, assist patients onto exam tables.
Additional Information
  • Full-time, entry-level position in healthcare.
  • Travel may be required to other clinics.
