Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking Medical Assistant level I–III candidates to support patient care across multiple specialties. Positions placed based on qualifications and experience, under supervision of licensed professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year related experience without certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in accordance with legal and professional standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks.
• Requires additional experience and/or certification.
• Includes all duties of MA I and II and performs high-level clinical procedures as MA III.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
